Why Don't You...

When iconic fashion editor Diana Vreeland landed at Harper's Bazaar she penned a column of inspiring suggestions titled "Why Don't You?".  For the very reason she was chosen for her dressing style, her suggestions were not for the "ordinary" housewife circa 1950s-60s.  Mrs. Vreeland's point was never to be conventional, it was to inspire the reader into reaching for the better life, the best life, and the most stylish and creative life.
To inspire in my own creative life I would like to include a little "Why Don't You?" of my own.  I will try to include some inspiring images (none of which are my own more often than not...thank you to the photographer and alert me if the image belongs to you!).

Why don't you...plant a collection of monochromatic geraniums and gather them somewhere, like a wall or lining both sides of your steps?
My favorite color of geranium is pink.  Remember you must find geraniums soon because when this brilliant idea reoccurs to you in July you will not be able to find them!  Others geraniums will be on full thrive and yours will be non-existent.  Trust me.  I did this last summer.
Gorgeous in terracotta pots that only get better with age! Keep these beauties going all winter in your orangerie!
